Amanda provides professional development workshops and speaking engagements tailored to the individual needs of your staff, students, school, and program. She has experience designing and presenting trainings for single classroom teams, self-contained programs, alternative schools, departmental training, district learning academies for college credit, and state/national conferences. From half-day to multi-day sessions - you choose! This won't feel like your typical run-of-the-mill PD though, so get ready to increase your behavioral skillset all while smiling and laughing along the way.
Building Lasting Skillsets
Amanda's workshops involve active engagement, explicit instruction, modeling, discussion, and applied practice. Attendees will learn research and evidence-based actionable strategies that can be implemented immediately within their classroom or with their students. Amanda understands the importance of not only learning new skills, but also learning how to implement and generalize those skills. Therefore, she take the guess work out of the equation by teaching attendees when and how to implement strategies with language and real life examples that all educators can understand. Ready-to-use templates, guides, and resources are provided to assist in implementation.
Coaching and Consultation
Are you interested in more than just a one and done workshop for your staff? Amanda understands the importance of ongoing learning and practice of skills taught in order to effectively ensure strategies are implemented for the long-term. Therefore, she offers consultation to school teams for individualized needs to build staff capacity. From teaching and coaching trainers to guide their school teams, to ongoing trainings to create climate and system changes, she is here to assist.
